Problem Statement

Politics

1.) Problem in your topic.  What will you do once you solve the problem?

  • A major problem that politicians have is voter outcome. The whole reason politicians set out to campaign is to get their opinions heard by many. During elections its all up to the voters to decide who they want to represent them. Sometimes voter outcome at the polls is minimum. Why is that? Does ethnicity, income, or the area that voters live in have an effect on voter outcome or is it because most of these people aren't registered to vote?
  • For me a solution to this sort of situation would be to focus registration drives in areas where a lower average annual income is most common. Have it known that it doesn't matter what social class that people are in everyone and anyone can vote. All they need to do is to register to have their say heard and count where it matters the most.

2.) Problem in your topic.  What will you do once you solve the problem?

  • A problem that is not major but is however noticeable is the fact that there is small amount of women in elected office. Why is that? Is politics just a man thing?
  • A solution for this is to empower women and have them realize how important their role is in politics today.
