1. Who did you interview and what house are they in?
2. What ideas do you have for your senior project and why?
3. What do you plan to do for your summer 10 hour mentorship experience?
4. What do you hope to see or expect to see in watching the 2013 2-hour presentations?
5. What questions do you have that I can answer about senior year or senior project (or what additional information did you tell them about senior year or senior project)?
I questioned 2 juniors and here are their responses...
1. Brandon Rodriguez
2. Psychology or social worker type project family background
3. Working with uncle for the 10 hours to see if that is possible.
4. Professionalism, teach the subject that they chose, by teaching it correctly/ proficiently.
5. - Is there a topic that you can't really do?
- You can't really do any pornography and anything related to astronomy because of cost issues.
- You can choose to do anything specific related to the topic that you want to do.
1. Christian Vasquez
2. My idea revolves around fire protection, as in building sprinklers. The reason why I lean towards fire protection is because I have a great opportunity to look into the world of fire protection business, the science behind it, and manual work. My uncle is an owner of a fire protection company named Advanco.
3. I plan on working on getting my 10 hours with my uncle and his company. I plan on going out to observe manual labor of workers to get a feel for it. Also see the work inside the office and how business is conducted.
- From what I can tell, you have two paths you can take from this.
1.) You can concentrate on working with the fire protection equipment and become an expert in that or..
2.) You can focus on the business aspect of a small/medium company and go through a business approach. Primarily focus in the fire protection business and how to flourish in that industry with constant competition.
4. I hope to be inspired for my project next year. I hope to see great presentations were I can see a depth view in hobbies and interested careers of many.
5. Um, the only question I have is how is life as a senior in IPoly because I know freshman year is a large change to become an ipolyian and sophomore year is very busy. Junior year is very calm and slow, so I'm just curious of what senior year is going to be like.
-Senior year is like your last mile stretch in a race. You power right through it and in the end before you even know it you're done. It is a lot of work involved and there are many few days where you have the time to just take a breather. Its easier in a way because you have Purther who although constantly is bugging you to get things done but you do it and if you need help, just ask him and he'll help you. You'll be lucky if you have him next year as a house teacher.
